1970 000-28 Martin BRW
OK, I know your saying "Martin stopped using BRW in 1969!", but there were a couple very early 1970 instruments that used Brazilian back and sides, and this is one of those instruments. I'd say the instrument is in very good condition, with normal dings and scratches. The major cosmetic concern is the headstock, where someone refinished it at some point. I tried to describe the guitar with great detail to Gruhn and have enclosed an appraisal. They appraised the guitar at $4,500. The instrument has a later model Martin hardshell 000 case and comes with the original owner warranty card that was never mailed in, which is kind of cool. Lots of discussion and pictures on UMGF: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/theu...8-t186594.html
For those with 1970 birthdays looking for that special something to commemorate that big day in 2020, here's the guitar for you! I'm looking for $4,250 shipped CONUS. I'm not looking for trades at this time, and I'm fortunate that I don't need to move this quickly so I'm staying pretty firm on the price for now. I've bought and sold many instruments on this and other forums and would be happy to provide references! https://imgur.com/gallery/P7QN6 Thanks Steve More pictures: https://s4rest.imgur.com/all/ Last edited by s4rest; 12-03-2017 at 02:31 PM. |
