In Cape Coral Fl, we are going between 65% and just over 80%. I am concerned about my dreadnaught dishing/ bellying.

Right now 36% outside and 38% inside in North County San Diego. I expect the rh to drop into the teens as we get some mild Santa Anna winds Sunday and Monday.

Thanks, M19, I used to know that but had forgotten!

Also, thanks for the replies despite the fact that I put this in the wrong section! I meant it to go in the General Acoustic Guitar Discussion section, obviously.

Here at 5,000 ft. in the Nevada Eastern Sierra the humidity is 17% outside with a temp of 59 degrees that feels like 48 and of course the wind is blowing, gusting up to 10 mph. Don't know what the humidity is inside my house and my guitars always stay in their cases (humidified) when they're not in use.

Fisher Branch, Manitoba, Canada. According to my Davis Vantage Vue weather station:

Inside 74 F(23C) and 35% with the humidifier going 24/7

Outside - 6 F(-21C) and 80% (which isn't much moisture due to the low temp).

ohiopicker, a good friend of mine moved to your town recently and opened up a Scooter's Coffee shop. If you can find it, go in there and tell him that his old sergeant who now lives in Colorado says that he is to buy you a cup of coffee.

He'll laugh and ask you what kind you want.

I looked up the Davis Vantage Vue weather station. Very nice, now I want one.

This forum causes GAS for guitars. And now for weather stations as well! Wait, that would be WSAS?

BTW, our humidity is now 65%. From 14% to 65%. Wild.

Hell if I know.

I got an ITH-10 hygrometer after seeing more cracks in a previously cracked Yamaha. (Less than half the price of the Oasis OH2 but supposedly the same thing). It consistently reads about 5-8% higher than an Accurite with extra holes drilled in it. When left outside, neither approached the weather report RH but the ITH-10 was much higher and closer. Tested them both with salt method, the ITH-10 reached 65% and the Accurite about 55%.

Since neither is calibratable, now I add 5% to the ITH reading and 10% to the Accurite reading and figure that is at least ball park.

BTW, I see little difference between the value inside a guitar case that has both a soundhole humidifier and an extra sponge in the case, and outside the case.
