So how's the Kraut?

As for Jason, I was supposed to play a couple of his beauties but the guitars were locked away (and Jason was probably asleep) when we got back to the hotel.
The Kraut is wonderful, it has become more complex over the past months...

Too bad, you didnt get to try the Kostals lol... He has started my project... He is using materials from his personal stash... He is going all out on this one haha

Did you get your Petros? I was actually considering one a few years back

Thats exactly what how I felt when I first played a Somogyi 4 years ago, Had to own one or two lol

Yes the bass on this one rambles... It is bigger sounding than my Somogyi Mod D, but less complex.. Ray's Mod D is also shallower.

Standard Somogyi scale is 25"... Ray uses 25.25"...

The Petros Tunnel 13 #24 is coming soon...

I'm a bit envious every time I see one of Jason's colourful rosettes (and Ogino's design may be on top of my list now) but I could only afford to own one guitar from a former Somogyi apprentice and I'm happy with my initial decision to go with Ray.

Looking forward to seeing your Kostal. Yours will be investment grade I'm sure. Jason's Mod D cut is a classic already.

My own "four seasons" would have to be four Olson SJs... Would love to score two more, possibly with spruce tops.

You can see Somogyi's influence on Ogino in Paul at Dream Guitars guitar that Somogyi made him here ...it's my absolute favourite:

Yes indeed...

That's one of my favourites as well. The headstock on this guitar is also remarkable.
