Hands are too small, fingers too short?
I don't know if this has been posted before or not. I don't really know what to say about it. It defies words.

I should have started when I was 3 with a big guitar!
That is indeed beyond words. Thanks for posting |

OK, today was going well, I had arranged a song for my nyloner and was pleased with it's outcome. Today was one of those days I was thinking to myself, "self, you are really making some headway on this thing" and then YOU posted this obscene little bitsy girl shredding up that guitar. THANKS for ruining my day!!

Considering the food supply in North Korea, that girl is probably 18 years old.

Talent and musicianship know no geographical boundaries! She is amazing! She's obviously gifted musically, and has had some wonderful training. If she were my daughter, I'd be very, very proud. Since she's not, I just admire her accomplishment tremendously!
cotten Please, let's not let this thread take on political commentary, which is against forum rules. Thanks. |

Okay, if this clip robs me of the hands too small/fingers too short excuse, then I'm going to have to rely on the deteriorating flexibility of age as my "no-overcoming-this reason" for low skill. Yes, indeed, that is it!

Its indeed impressive and i dont want to be an idiot but Its quite sad in fact that a child should be obligated to do such show for grown ups to be amazed when she doesnt even understands what she is doing and i dont have to say there is no way that a child of that age would have the desire to develop such technical level.

She is obviously an amazing child, and amazing on guitar.
The question I always ask when I see these videos is... "What kind of lifestyle and childhood do these children truly experience?" Certainly, there has to be a strict regimen to develop those skills at that age, and one I suspect is "over the top" and bordering on abuse. my .02 |

I don't know what it is.... but something about that just seems unnatural to me... but I just can't peg what it is.
It might be the lack of a microphone to amplify her, or it might be the odd facial expressions that seem to bely her real feelings.... I don't know |

I'm amazed at how focused children like her can be when it comes to playing.

How do we know the child was "obligated to do such a show for grown ups"? She may love the attention and applause. How many kids are involved in athletics not only because they love the sport but they also love being seen and applauded by the fans? And yes, there are plenty of kids involved in athletics who are encouraged/forced by their parents and couldn't care less about the sport. When I read the clause "when she doesnt even understands what she is doing," I couldn't help but smile. That probably describes at least half the members of AGF, and I'm in that half, when we hold a guitar. Last, how do you know that "there is no way that a child of that age would have the desire to develop such a technical level"? Like I said, I have a son-in-law who did. It's unusual, to be sure, but not without precedent. Universal negatives are hard to prove. Bill |

cool, I'll send this to my gal friend who does have small hands--cuz, as a friend, I so love to make people feel bad (lol.)
Not knowing a thing about this child, her culture, or her family, I can't begin to guess anything...but man, she's smiling and looks into it to me. Go, girl! |
