Default Chorus pedal collection is growing...

well I've been on a mission to collect various chorus pedals, because I know each one is a little different. Here's what I've got or ordered so far...

BOSS Super Chorus

BOSS Chorus Ensemble

Tone City Angel Wing Chorus

MXR Micro Chorus

Marshall SV-1 Supervibe Chorus

These will all be interchangeable in my pedal board.

The Super Chorus, the Chorus Ensemble and the Marshall Supervibe are all stereo choruses. The Tone City is to replicate Slash's sound and the Micro chorus to replicate Jimmy Page's sound. The stereo choruses sound fabulous.

I also have a chorus effect in the Fender SFX amp that is a pretty close match to the chorus used on Treetop Flyer.

That's quite an assortment. Are you planning on keeping them all?

Yes I am planning on keeping them all and use the ones I like for various projects, because they each have their different nuances. I'm liking the Super Chorus because it's stereo but the Marshall SV1 has a really nice sound to it, so it might take over the number 1 spot. It too is stereo and from the demo's I heard of it, it sounds really nice. the micro chorus just arrived today and it's super simple to operate...it sounds nice but it's not stereo....I know some people use two choruses in line for a special effects, we'll see......it's all about options.

In the order of acquisition, here are mine:

Studio Series (Loco Box) Chorus
Ibanez RC-99 Rotary Chorus
Boss Super Chorus
Arion SCH-Z Chorus
Donner Alchemy (multi-fx)
Biyang Analog Chorus
Keeley Dyno My Roto

Sometimes I wonder how I ended up with so many chorus pedals but they're all unique in some way. Three of them (Boss, Biyang and Keeley) are patched in somewhere (I have two separate effects boards) and get regular use.

WOW.
I always thought that 1 chorus pedal would do the trick, which is kind of silly of me because I own several Reverb pedals.
Very cool.

I've been looking at the TC Electrinic Corona Chorus for my first and only chorus pedal.

I thought one would do the trick, but the more I looked into it, I saw that there are many differences between units. Some artists prefer certain ones to get a certain sound. So I figured I'd try a few and see where that got me...I'm thinking I could sell off any I don't need later. I had already bought a few when I found the Marshall. After hearing it, I knew it was a contender.

On You Tube, there's a demo video of two of the Marshalls SP1's in line with each other, the second one is putting out a stereo signal...the sound he's getting is very good, and worth a try with some of the other units I already have. having a few extras to play with makes sense. people have multiple distortion boxes, delays, reverbs, why not choruses ??

The one chorus I have in the Fender SFX amp gives me that TreeTop Flyer sound which is one of the main chorus effects I wanted. Anything else I get now is just gravy....
