Oh it was so very worth the drive for me. Other folks clearly wouldn’t care enough to move toward or be moved by an eclipse. I also like to drive and am familiar with the area. There was bumper to bumper through IL to Nashville, adding extra time. But to me that was part of the communal experience and the drivers seemed to have taken it in stride as well, because the traffic was quite calm. Ready to do it all over again, but dunno if I will be here to pull it off next time around. Always wanted to go to Iceland tho…
