Default "Mess Of Blues"

I did my solo acoustic version of Doc Pomus' "A Mess Of Blues" on my 1993 Lowden S35, run through my Boss VE-8 vocal/guitar mixer which has separate reverbs and effects for each channel....and using my Fishman Rare Earth Blend in the soundhole of the guitar...(Fishman mic blended to about 70%, mag pickup 30%). All run direct to my little mixer and then Garageband in my old iMac.

Very nice job, BK7! Very good quality recording, great guitar playing, and a very nice job on the singing! Excellent guitar solo in there, too!

Totally enjoyable! And fun!

Thanks Glenn! Glad you liked it.

Honestly, the recording quality is from the Boss VE-8, designed for acoustic guitarist/singers....I ran a lead out to my mixer and computer with nothing altered/eq dead flat. Theory is that it should sound as good run out to a PA.... the vocal gets a bit 'peaky' in bits, I put the 'exciter' knob to 50%. This brings the vocal 'forward', Boss say. Works great. Add a splash of (different) reverb/delay to guitar and vocal. Stereo out if wanted. Cool AS! Very very different from the pub PA that sounds the same no matter what you do to it! This gadget may help that, may not?
