Jim ..... you shouldn't be posting these updated pics, unless you're prepared to hand out free bibs to all of us onlookers .....

I love walnut for back and sides. Your guitar is shaping up to be an absolute stunner!

Question - how does Bastogne walnut sound relative to claro walnut (which is what I have)

Bastogne is more dense than Claro so it should result in clearer, more defined, bass and lower mids as well as some crispness in the trebles.

I'm really excited about this build.

Work has begun on the neck. The headstock veneer is a piece of Bastogne Walnut to match the back and sides.

My guitar was on hold for a bit while Adam was getting ready for the Woodstock show, but it's back on track and in the finishing booth. Shouldn't be too long now.

Thanks. To me it looks like the lovely brunette tresses of a woman I'd really like to meet.

Adam wrote to tell me the final finish coats went on today. I'm loving everything about this guitar and if it's as good as the parlor Adam built for me a little while back, I'm going to be extremely happy.

I opted for no back stripe of any kind because I didn't think any stripe option could add to the beauty of that wood.

The guitar is buffed. The neck is going on today and tomorrow the bridge. The bridge and fret board will be blacked before it ships.
Soon, my precious, soon.
