Dunlop Ultex Sharp .73. Has more stiffness than the Tortex equivalent for some reason.

I have recently discovered riversong picks. They are made out of wood. I am primarily a strummer and these picks don't add a lot of twang to the strumming. They sound quite nice.

Kori,
Wade suggested these D'Andrea picks in a post a few years ago, so we tried them and have never looked back. We simply love them, my better half has also tried the .96 and loves them too https://www.amazon.com/DAndrea-TG346...d+andrea+picks

I'm another Dunlop .60 mm user.
Just ordered a dozen of the gold 50th anniversary version.

I use 1mm Ultex on my 6 string, and 2mm Gravity On electric, but when I play 12 string I like the .73mm Ultex picks. Nice thin pick for strumming the 12 with the shimmery tone.

+1 for the Dava Control Pick - flexible enough when held in the middle for nice strumming but if you hold it towards the end, it will preform like a 1.0mm pick for single note work.

Pickboy "Classic" Cellulose, .075mm. Hands down, the best "thin" pick for me. I can only find these online and they aprox $1 each but I get the best of both worlds outa em. Pick'n and strum'n.

The fluorescent Dunlop thin picks. (Usually the yellow ones).

I use the Herco HE210P Flex 50 Gold Nylon, per the name suggested you'd think it's .50mm but I believe it's actually .65mm. Started using them because it's all Neil Young ever uses (well that and his fingers). Nice and grippy where you hold it which is nice.

I used Fender thin picks for ever even after crossing over from electric to acoustic a few years ago.
Then I came on here and you guys ruined me. I went through a pick-athon a few months ago. Buying so many different kinds and thicknesses of picks. The Ultex .60 is my new favorite thin pick when I go that thin. But now I play pretty much .73 either Dunlop Ultex or Nylon depending on the song. I've tried thicker but those .73's seem to fit my bill. |

I really like the Dunlop nylons for strumming and primarily use the .60, .73, and .88. It’s pretty cool that each gives you a bit different tonal quality. If I want a really softer, blended strummed tone, the .46 is pretty nice for that.
As soon as I start picking notes and strumming, I find I get more accuracy with a thicker pick, (1-1.2 mm) and I start reaching for my Blue Chip, Wegen, Kool, and Charmed Life picks. I also have some Fred Kelly blue and orange thin picks that are a harder plastic than the Dunlop Nylons. They are bright when you want bright. If you strum and flatpick, you probably have a lot of picks but to me it’s analogous to a tonal spice rack.
