Unhappy DR Cool Blue PB Light Stings

I just put a set of DR Cool Blue PB Lights (12-54) on my maple 000-12. They were absolutely hideous sounding. The bass strings were totally dead. I worked with them for a few minutes to be sure the strings were engaged with the bridgeplate, etc.. Nope...they just sucked. Heck...they sounded worse than the old strings I replaced. The mid and high strings seemed OK, but the bass was gawd awful...dull, thuddy, no depth.

I took them off straight away. Usually I give strings a chance. 5 minutes was plenty.

Don't do it.

YMMV

I replaced them with my usual Martin SP PB lights...much better.
