How to use delay

I am not that fimilar with setting up a delay for acoustic, what is the best way to use delay on an acoustic guitar.

I have used delay pretty heavily in various contexts. Here's a sample of delay used to fatten up my slack key style:

That's about 350-400 milliseconds, 30% gain and 30% feedback, on a Boss DD3.
