Getting the band back together...lneed help!
So...after 30 plus years we are planning a band reunion over a long weekend this fall. Some of the guys still are active players...some are not. I would love to find away to have a virtual rehearsal online as the members are spread all over the country. I am am not technically oriented...is there away to do this as simple as a skype session for live playing? We have four players. I know a few years back there was some development in process of a latency free app or software. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input. I will check it out...I am thinking along the lines of a four way video conference type of deal. I will spend some time on research tomorrow.

Skype? Latency-delay can be the biggest problem.

Yeah latency can be a big problem with Skype or most video conferencing.
Actually I've found that FaceTime (if you're on a Mac or iPhone or iPad) sometimes has much less latency than Skype for some reason. Possibly the best free solution would be to go with an audio only call through Google Voice or another free teleconferencing app. Audio only should have less latency than video, although the sound might not be great unless everyone is using higher quality external mics. -Mike

Thanks Mike and Mike. Audio only might be the way to go. A guy at my office was talking about Telepresence technology today...but I think it is a enterprise level solution. Any other tech guru's out there?
