I wonder if Salistair Clause will be delivering a very special Christmas present. Have you been naughty or nice this year Evan :-)

Seriously, I hope it meets your lofty but clearly stated expectations! I keep filling my guitar piggy bank in anticipation of this one

2New;

I am anticipating emptying my piggy bank. I see from other threads on this forum that Alistair is working on a number of nylon string guitars. This could be a good nylon year.

I just received a message from Alistair that my X10N will be completed this week and the results would be "worth the wait."

I have no doubts about that.

Evan?... any news?

OK, I have been cruel, taunting the nylon crowd regarding my forthcoming Emerald wonderment. So here it is.

Alistair has made me two nylon string carbon fiber guitars. They have been marvelous. The challenge in this third custom instrument is to go beyond the first two instruments.

I've also owned and played other Cf nylon string guitars--and the challenge is to best those.

Part of what I'm looking for is the benefit of Alistair's growth, the benefit of his many innovations. Part of what I'm looking for are stylistic tokens that I did not have on my previous Emeralds--for example, slot-head tuners.

In short, I've asked for the sun, the moon, and the stars. And it is on its way. Alistair says the guitar is ready for the stage. He's going to be doing a photo shoot and then I will be receiving the guitar. I've asked that he share the photos here because I am not worth a darn when it comes to uploading pictures and music.

When I receive the guitar, you will hearing from me.

Heck, I'm waiting with bated breath and I'm not even a nylon guy! Hang in there, Evan!

Evan,
I am looking forward to hearing about the new guitar once you play it. Enjoy!

jkwrpc;

Holy Moly! About gave me a heart attack. I read your note and immediately headed for the Emerald site. Nope, that's not my nylon. I think you must be looking at the X20-OSN, which looks very much like my old X20 nylon, but I didn't have the slot head tuners. My new X10N will probably have slot head tuners and will probably not have an OS sound hole. I say "probably" because while I have my preferences I always defer to Alistair.

Alistair made recording of my X20-OSN, (the amber slot head on the website), but to my knowledge has never posted them anywhere.

I would love to hear samples of all the nylons he has built and had recorded.

I could easily be tempted into another...

CFW;

I believe that Alistair will be producing visual/audio treatments of the new, and improved, X10N. Get ready to be really tempted.....

Evan and Strum, I am living vicariously through you. I may need a nylon to go with my beautiful X7.

I'm excited for the both of you, and can't wait to see what marvels Alistair hath wrought!
