I saw her live in the early 80's. Outside on the Boston Commons. She was out of this world. But, she was cranky as all get out. She was mouthy about the lighting and left the stage abruptly 3 different times.!! Other than that she and her band were absolutely fantastic.

Just being herself I guess. I love the natural rhythm she has, she becomes the music.

Incredible guitarist she is!! I saw video of her playing a tune capoed, and for a time she reached OVER the top of the fretboard with her left hand instead of under it liked normal...and all those intricate alternate tunings. I read an interview with her in mid 90's that she tunes her guitar to the sound of the birds outside.

Her new book came out in October of this year, reading the preview pages on kindle until the book arrives.
