Good move and not just because of the string spacing.

Does anybody know the guitar played on the International Space Station? It looks like a size similar to that of the FS720S. Thank you all for the replies.

Thank you for the quick reply. They apparently picked a more expensive guitar to go into space with.

I have recently bought a FS720S, and so far, I like how it feels and sounds.

I do not have a case for the guitar, so are there any suggestions for the right case?

I prefer hardshell, just unsure about the type:

Thank you.

There are also these cases:

What do you guys think?

Default just bought

Just purchased my 3rd FG730S , first Natural , other two are Tobacco , with one of the nicest tobacco finishes i've ever seen . Stunning is the only way to describe . I only use 11-52s on these guitars as they tend to have a more shimmery sound and of course less tension , making them vibrate slower and moving the top more in my opinion . more than loud enough , set up perfect from the factory, never any problem other than tightening the tuner nuts at first , they're always loose . This one was on sale $260 , couldnt pass it up , and dont have to worry about humidity and everything else everyone seems to worry about with expensive guitars, just buy another FG730S if it gets that bad ...These guitars sound far better than previous guitars Ive owned costing thousands . A little narrower string spacing is perfect for my playing, almost like playing an electric , I do not prefer the 1.5 inch spacing. Narrower spacing makes the strings ring quicker together for a nice sound . Dunlop Phosphor 11-52 used mostly . I rotate thru these guitars and 2 Alvarez . Was playing one of the 730s I hadnt strung in awhile , and it still sounded wonderful , I checked my Restring log and the same strings had been on it since Sept 2012 - 9 MONTHS ? Maybe time for a string change, rarely to do they go that long unless by forgetfulness, Why i keep a written log . I cant remember when any strings were last changed ..

Hi guys,

I went to the local guitar store and bought a case. It is not hard-shell, which was explained that only very expensive guitars (with price tags in the thousands) need it; regular guitars can just use soft, cushioned bags. I am liking the FS720S so far, and it sounds very pleasant. Thank you all for replying.

Just got an incredible deal on a New Old Stock Yamaha FG720S. The FG820S is the replacement.
My FG720S sound great. I love this guitar. $200.00 out the door. Looking for a case or gig bag now.

Which do you enjoy playing more?

I like this review about the FS720S written by EVAN STEIN:

Yamaha FG730S:

Yamaha FS720S:

Thank you for reading.

Personally, I would stick to the big frame and get used to it in order to get the fuller sound quality of such frame (or at least, that's as far as theory goes)

Default 730

730 with Bob C saddle and pins . lower the action a little by shaving that saddle, put some NB D'addario custom lights and there you go !
