Thoughts on new Taylor 710e short scale/slotted headstock??

Taylor fans, has anyone tried the new Taylor 710e with the shorter scale and slotted headstock? Does the lutz spruce top make the Taylor sound bigger?

I've tried a few. They are really great, and easily rival the 810. There was no lacking for fullness or volume.
