Default passed on strat

went to look at a strat today, probably $200 including the fender hard case- only thing i liked was the narrower neck then the newer stuff, other then that, i wasnt crazy about red/purple color or the 02 year- it had a floyd rose bridge, man did that suck- strings were ridiculously high and tuning it a PITA, actually, i gave up trying to tune it, thanked him and left

Everything you described about that guitar sounds nothing like a strat to me. Narrow neck, red/purple finish, FR trem, and terrible setup sounds like a low end Jackson.

its still on craigslist, i could post the link if want, but the image doesnt show up close detail, when i went there, he said he just put on new strings and it wasnt in tune, i brought a tuner and every time i tuned a string another went out- it didnt make sense to me as this never happened before- he kept saying it just the new strings, but he couldnt tune it either, so it needed a pro set-up if wanted to keep the FR bridge, or change it back to stock (which is what i would do) as far as the pick ups go, i could tell the one was changed just seeing the color, so he said it was, but i never got to plugging it in to hear what it sounded like
