Gibson pickguard
I have acquired a 1948 Gibson L-7 archtop; I have searched the internet high and low on how to attach my repro pickguard at the fingerboard area. I have the bracket (coming off the side of the body to the underside of the pickguard) but can't figure out how the upper portion attaches. Any help with or without photos would be appreciated. FYI-the original pickguard had disintegrated by the time I received the guitar.

Drop a line to Joe Vinikow at www.archtop.com - if he can't solve your vintage archtop problem nobody can...

Not exactly. George Gruhn can easily give Joe a run for the money when it comes to vintage guitars, archtops or otherwise. http://guitars.com/contactdirections |
