Well I have gigged it yet..So I haven't road tested it yet... But I have played it in a Big room..Clubhouse... But I'm really liking my Bugera AC60...loud ..clear...and light weight..15lbs..
Pole mount it or use the built in tilt stand... Easily carried it with a music stand guitar...one load

I've only played, dialed in and owned two acoustic amps. The Fishman Loudbox Mini and the Genz Benz Shenandoah 85. Both of those are my favorite acoustic amps. I have nothing to compare them to. When I plug in to play, I plug into my PA, I prefer it over the amps.

I am a solo performer and use the Loudbox 3. Mini, Artist, & the Performer.
I use self produced performance tracks with live vocals and instrumentals. The Fishmans are my only source of amplification. 👍

Eric;

What happened? I thought you had "moved on" from the Alpha in favor of some newfangled thingamajig! (Actually, it was The Bud, wasn't it?)

Seriously, though; why did you switch back to the Alpha? Thought your reasoning might just assist someone else in their quest for that "perfect" amp for them...

If I'm remembering correctly, the Alpha is sort of a "Compact 40" with only one channel, right?

A bit dated in the FX section and no longer available, but the Genz Benz Shenandoah line was an exceptional option for acoustic amps. I owned one for quite some time and the results were nothing short of amazing.

Genz Benz is my favourite. Searched for a while for one here in the UK and found a Shenandoah Shen 60 only last year. A little larger than more recent compact amps but the sound is so good it's worth it.
