Not the same company no connection , for some reason (which I forget now) Fishman changed the name original Fishman SoloAmp to the Fishman SA220 .

And the guy ( forgot name) who ended up with name "Solo Amp" is the one who tried to get the production funded thru the Crowd Funding company 'KickShark" and who the OP is referring to.

I hope that this "vendor" is no longer a part of the AGF community. Not nice to see folks here lose money.

This fellow SAID that he sold the original design to Fishman. But since he is not an engineer, but a dubious entrepreneur with a history of unethical, shady dealings, I'm skeptical of this claim, as well.
