Default Ben Taylor (JT's son)

I just picked up Ben Taylor's new CD. Ben is the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon. I've only listened to it once and my first impression is this guy's voice sounds very much like his father's. Musical style is a very mellow rock sound - don't know how to accurately describe it. Anyway, it's not bad. Not exactly the kind of music I listen to, but I like it nonetheless.

Anyone else out there have this CD? Be interested to hear your comments.

I think that, overall, it's a great first album for Ben. His voice is very simillar to his father's but with a younger, somewhat smoother sound if that makes any sense. I think he is definitely very talented and has a great deal of potential. Can you imagine what it must have been like to grow up in a family of musicians and surrounded by all kinds of other musical tallent? James, Hugh, Livingston, Alex, Kate, Ben, and Sally Tayler have all been professional touring and recording musicians at some point in their lives as well as Carly Simon, and her sister, not to mention the constant presence of friends like Carol King, Danny "Kootch", Paul Simon, Art Garfunkle, Jimmy Buffet, Goerge Harrison, Paul McCartney, Gerry Goffin and many MANY others... It must have been absolutely UNREAL!
