Default Demo recording reccomendations

Hello,

Could anyone advise me on what software to get for doing demo's/recordings for collaboration with another writer?
Would be nice to be able to loop guitar, bass and drum tracks and be able to send or post them.

I will have a Windows laptop to work with.

Thanks very much.

lots of Daws out there but Reaper might be the best start . You can download it for free and its fully functional but you get 30 days I think then they want you to buy it and for 60 bucks theres not much then can touch it .

Thing about daws is finding one that has a work flow you can get into
