That didn't work for me.

Okay, well, maybe I could have spent the money and hired a bikini model, but the only reason I was trying to sell the guitar was that I needed some cash.

So I wore the bikini myself. It didn't seem to help generate any sales....

Your gear is worth at least a couple hundred $$$ more if there are feet in the pictures...

This is the equivalent of taking pictures of your car to sell but not taking the time to throw away the McDonald's behind the passenger seat before you take the pics.

Anything in the photo that is extraneous would bother me in purchasing it.
If the seller made no attempt at simple photo editing ,I would extrapolate that to indicate that he or she could be sloppy with their overall guitar care and condition.

Perhaps I'm being to harsh and concessive but presentation is a huge par too any sale....

The "foot in pic" started on the firearms forums almost 20 years ago.

It was a method of showing that it was your actual picture and not one simply stolen off the web.

Yep when I sell things I do care to take good pics and I clean the frets and polish the body and install new strings. I want my guitar to look as new as possible.

I think one can achieve that in a more tasteful manner than showing bare feet.

I would just steal a pic off the web that had someone's feet in it in that case.

Maybe the dude is selling his guitars so he can buy some shoes..

Feet in a guitar picture are perfectly fine, as long as they are appropriately attired. (This guitar is not for sale, by the way -- it is my new D-18).

I've always made it a point to not have my feet pictured in any picture, guitar or not.

I generally lean them or have them on a stand when snapping a pic.

But then again, I have Hobbit feet...

This thread is disgusting and offensive. Reminds me of an awful incident that happened to me years ago on Craigslist when I was searching for some feet to buy and some pervert included a guitar in the feet picture. GROSS!!!!
