The guitar in the Youtube video is not his signature model. Looks like an OMC-28.

I checked out some of his others too.

I generally do not enjoy instrumental only performances for more than a short period of time unless it's someone that can make it entertaining as well as technically proficient...but some of this guy's stuff is just mesmerizing!

Jacques Stotzem is a great player. Maybe not as well known as some other fingerstyle players, but been around a long time.

Doyle Dykes has a nice arrangement of this one too.

.......... Really? Did you? That's a cool song. That would be a perfect tune to play on my D-16GT. What's his email!?!

Funny how we all are different. I'd rewrite your sentence this way, to apply to me:

"I generally do not enjoy vocals with accompaniment performances for more than a short period of time unless it's someone that can make it entertaining as well as technically proficient..."!

Strumming and singing is pretty boring stuff to my ears, unless it has more than just strumming going on with the guitar, and a great voice doing the singing. Then, I listen to the lyrics. If the lyrics don't click with me, I'm gone.

Jacques' stuff can be found at Acoustic Music Resource, along with lots of other players like him. He's famous on his side of the pond. Outstanding fingerstyle player. Not many singing and strumming at AMR, though. To each his own.

That was great! Can't believe I haven't heard of this guy. I would email him for the tab but I think it's beyond me right now.

Hi Barry,

You can find his contact details at http://users.skynet.be/stotzem/index.html

I should note one thing, though. The tab he sent me (I think it was last year) is sort of a "distilled" version of the actual arrangement he performs. That could be good or bad, depending on what difficulty level you're looking for. In any case, watching the YouTube video a couple of times should help you fill in the blanks

ohhh, I believe he asked me to help share information with friends in exchange for the tab, so just mention that Mak from Malaysia sent you

Nope, no signature Martin (yet, anyway) for Mr Stotzem.

He shouldn't pine too much however as there has been an Avalon Jacques Stotzem model for some time - **** fine they sound too.

I really enjoy his stuff, for a while, but he's pretty much at the edge of what I can handle in terms of electramodificationjiggerypokerynotreallyacoustic

You apparently haven't listened to much of his music (IMHO)... He's considered by many to be one of the purest sounding acoustic players live or on CD. Suggest you give a listen to "Two Bridges" or "Sur Vesdre". And my friend at Martin tells me that the Jacques Stotzem Signature Model has been a very strong seller since being introduced a couple of years ago.
