Best way to get overdriven acoustic sound going direct to pa?
Hi all. Ok, we all know the pedal /acoustic thing is frowned upon but I’m looking for very something moderate. I have a Vintage DeArmond pup going into a pa. I like a nice simple rig, just plug and play. My concerns are will a regular distortion pedal create feedback and hiss going into a pa? Should I use a preamp or DI box? Again I’m looking for a simple usable rig, I don’t want to lug an amp and mic it to gigs as I really need the overdriven sound on a few numbers. Ideally I’d like a simple stomp box/pedal that will give a little dirt on the Tone when needed. Any suggestions input appreciated

A Tech21 SanAmp will do exactly this and sounds wonderful on an acoustic either with or without a little saturation.

coincidentally......THIS happens to have a speaker simulator output as well as a standard line output.
The purpose for that is to run the distortion output directly into a PA
