Default Tuner that can store "off-cents" settings? (James Taylor)

My apologies is this discussion has been posted earlier but I have been reading the "clip on tuner" discussion and it reminded of a YouTube video where James Taylor talks about tuning and suggests that "pure pitch" string tunings on a guitar don't sound "right" to him and, through the years, he has perfected tuning settings.

If you're so inclined, watch this 6 minute James Taylor video on tuning:

https://youtu.be/V2xnXArjPts

. . . and my question is: is there a tuner out there that will enable one to set or store each note according to James's preferences? So that it would still give the graphical readout that shows how far you are from "correct" tune?

Peterson tuners have the "sweetened" calibration as a feature in most of their tuners (and Peterson is what JT uses). I have one of their Stroboclip tuners with the sweetening built in. It's nice but the strobe-style tuners have a big of a learning curve. I have returned to using a SuperSnark,

Without sounding like a wiseguy I think the best tuner for what you want would be your brain and any tuner that displays cents. It's probably pretty easy to remember those offsets.

I have Pitchlab on.my phone, but it only saves tones as C4, C3, etc. It appears to display cent offsets as well.

That would be a neat feature tho to tweak the cents of a note.

If you're referring to a clip-on tuner, the only one that is capable of this (programming the cent value of each individual note) is the Peterson StroboClip HD.
It's also the only one which has the JT offsets pre-programmed (along with many other Sweetened Tunings).
The preset is called "ACU" on the StroboClip HD, it lets you tune "normally" but internally it sets the target notes to JT's offsets.
The feature is available on all formats of Peterson tuner, clip-on, hand-held, rack, stomp, software and app.

Turbo Tuners allow the saving of pitches with offsets in cents. Been doing that for years with my electrics. Unfortunately, they're stompbox-only.

PitchLab can only go down to 5 cent discrimination. A single cent is beyond the app’s capably. Perhaps one of their options will do it but not the basic app.

Stomp, thank you so much! This is precisely what I'm seeking and more. [But Wait! There's More! LOL] I have a Bose L1 Model 2 PA (fantastic system) that has a built in tuner, but what you describe does much more than its on-line tuner.

The Stroboclip HD is a great tuner. I'm inclined to get a second one while they're on sale.

Pitchlab screen shot. See circled area. It indicates how many cents you're off.

Yes, Pitch lab has many tunings and you can store custom tunings too. Easy to use and use free to boot!

TBman... that is just a rough rendering of where you're at....

Check setings > In-Tune Threshold
The tightest you can get is plus or minus 5 cents (default is 10). At 5 that means you have a swing of 10 cents. Your ear is sensitive to 2 cents difference.

It will get you relatively close. No more than that.
