Default I re-learned something today....

Yesterday some nice PA equipment popped up on the local Craigslist at too good of a deal to pass up.

The speakers were Yamaha S115V's.

I'd forgotten just how wonderful a wooden 15" two way can be with acoustic guitar and vocals at lower volumes. There is just something special about the way it makes everything so warm when it's all EQ'd properly. The guitars all sounded incredible......my E10D and Cordoba just blew me away for what I have into them!

I don't worry at all about lugging larger cabinets around.....I think they are going to stay for a while!

I have owned a pair before, they really are great old school speakers.

Just way big & heavy to lug around. Replaced them with K-10's.

I had some of the model IV's about 10 years ago or so. There is just no way to get that warmth in a 10 or 12. I think with this particular model too, it may be the crossover point and that large horn!

Moving them around isn't a problem for me, but getting them up on stands by myself is another issue
