Gloria was and early one for me, but it actually was Tom Doley by, you guessd it, The Kingston Trio! Nice 3 chords for a rank beginner, and a little nice ending run

I can't remember the first song I ever learned, but I'm sure it was played with G/C/D, maybe with an Em added. Those were the first chords my brother ever taught me. And he said I could play almost any song I wanted with those 4 chords. And he was real close to being right.

"Round Here" by the Counting Crows.

This song made me decide to start playing acoustic, but ironically, the guitar used in the recording is a clean electric. I had a poor ear for instruments/music when I was a kid O_o.
