Bruce Springsteen's autobiography, while I wait for the release of the next novel in John Sandfors's "Prey" series (due out later this month).

Wow I read The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto Las year. Enjoyed every page, but I'm a fan of Mitch Albom.
Right now I am reading Pat Conroy's South of Broad. Pretty deep and dark, but I like it.

The People of the Broken Neck - Silas Dent Zobal
A novel about an Iraqi/Afghan special forces veteran on the run with his two children. But it is much more than that. |

Just finished this book last week. One of the best books I've read in the past few years.

My wife (Nanny Jane) bought me a Kindle a while ago.
Amongst my earlier purchases were : 1. Slaughterhouse 5 - Kurt Vonnegut 2. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - A trilogy of Five - Douglas Adams 3. If Britain had Fallen - Longmate - what might have happened here if Operation Sea-lion had happened. 4. D-Day Through German Eyes - (Books 1 & 2) Holger Eckhertz 5. Sapiens - A Brief Story of Humankind Yuval Noah Harari 6. Homo Dues - Harari 7. Without Getting Killed Or Caught - Bio of Guy Clark - Tamara Saviano 8. A Line In The Sand - Britain, France and the struggle that shaped the Middle East - James Barr 9. They Fought Alone - The True Story of SOE's Agents in Wartime France - Maurice Buckmaster. 10. Word Drops: A Sprinkling of Linguistic Curiosities - Paul Anthony Jones. As you might gather, I'm interested in History (not just WW2), alternative histories, and satirical dystopian novels. I loaded up may of these for reading matter whilst in Hospital but today I mainly read "The Fretboard Journal!"

FAR Part 145 at the moment. I always read it when I need something to make my life seem exciting by contrast.

I have that trouble remembering the title with my kindle. Especially with those Lee Child/Grisham/Michael Connelly series of books. The worst part is when it's time to order another, since I don't necessarily read them in the order they came out. More than once I've ordered another only to notice I had already read it. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 days before it dawns on me. I hate when that happens.
At the moment I know exactly what I'm reading though. 'AWOL on the Appalachain Trail' about a 40 year old guy that quit his job to do the AT. |
