Default NYC shops

I'm planning to be in New York this February. Where should I go looking for archtops, either to buy or just drool on?

Rudy's Soho location. Take the Staten Island Ferry and go to Mandolin Bros. You won't regret either.

What Bluemonk said! Excellent advice! If you're thinking guitar and New York City you must visit these two shops!

Mandolin Bros.

Yes to all of the above. RetroFret is my personal fave - great inventory, great folks - but Rudy's always has a solid selection, too...

Ditto the above, plus Lark Street Music in Teaneck, NJ and Guitars 'n' Jazz in Summit, NJ; the latter claims to have over 400 archtops in stock but they advise that you call for an appointment first...
