Default #1 seed about to lose

Wow. Been watching the NCAA tournament for years and finally a #1 seed is going to lose in the first round. Incredible.

Lost by 20 points too. That's crazy.

My hometown team should have stayed in Charlottesville; they were clearly not in Charlotte to compete....

UVa plays that slow, deliberate style, and when they got down by double digits you could tell they were way out of their comfort zone. It was inevitable that someday a 16 would beat a 1, I would not have imagined it would be UVa as they normally play such great D.

That's what makes the Big Dance so appealing, something always happens.

no doubt - it's always an adventure. I sure didn't see this one coming though
(I guess no one did). They were seeded #1 for a good reason.

I didn't watch the game but woke up to the ugly score. I'm a former wahoo, so that stings.

Well another #1 seed went down. Wondering if anybody else has thought that the seeding of teams this year wasn't one of the committee best efforts. In the south bracket all the top 4 seeds are gone.
A sweet 16 match up, #7 seed vs. a#11 seed?
