Default What a Looker this is.

Stella "Gambler" 12-string from Mike Hauver. The original Stella had the cards, I think I'd want it without though. I guess I'm not a traditionalist. Would love to play one. Baritone scale, ladder brace.
Any other 12 string makers of this style? I don't see 12s on John Howe's site, but Fraulini makes one as well. Dell Arte also.

Hans Brentrup makes a 12 that is very traditional with Larsen style X bracing. I believe he also has a ladder braced version. I am on his wait list for GC-6 in Oak/Adi. Oak guitars are another great traditional option, kind like old stellas.

I had the pleasure of meeting Hans a year or so ago; and he's been at several of the Twin Cities AGF Get Togethers. I've gotten the chance to see/play one of his 12 strings, an 0-45, an oak parlor, a jumbo, and a grand concert (at the Podium). He's got quite an assortment of instruments, and bracing styles.

Congratulations on your oak/adi grand concert; great choice. What bracing will Hans be using on it?

I don't care for the cards on the top but that neck is gorgeous!

It's modeled after an original Stella 12 string- The sound of these is pretty awesome. I understand most of them (or a lot anyway) were baritone scale of over 26.5"
Pics and more info on the older Stellas at Neil Harpe's site http://www.stellaguitars.com/ Sound clips too.
