Talking My Irish Twins (X5os & Amicus)

Hi Everyone,

I thought would share two of my favorite guitars and as of now my only ones (sold my cargo, Kevin Michael, and assorted other CF guitars). These guitars are just wonderful to curl up with, take anywhere and can hold there own with anyone when plugged it. I had owned an older x5os that I has sold because it was a little to boxy sounding guitars for me. But Alistair continues to innovate .. even without telling us all the small things he does with his models and I was blow away with the bass and depth of sound from these two lovely. To my ears they sound great.

As always Alistair was flexible on configuration...even on his least expense and smallest guitars. They both where ordered with the following:

* Opus series (love the hollow neck and crystal ice finish on back and sides.. hides all scuffs and buckle marks.. kinda road tough)
* Stain neck finish
* Open back tuners (love the look of the carbon and gears... okay I am a car guy too.. but love the industrial look..)
* K&K pickup (no barn door..ect)

I do not see allot of love for these little beauties so thought I share... Thinking of a stain finished woodie in the future perhaps... just pure pleasure to play!!!!

Enjoy

Chris

Hi FG. Unfortunately, the pics aren't showing.

I thought all Emerald guitars now have solid necks and truss rods. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Ok, I didn't know that the Opus line maintains the hollow necks. My initial Chimaera must've been before the Artisan/Opus distinctions. It had the hollow necks and personally, I didn't like a "thwack" tone generated by my playing style. At that time, Alistair had begun the solid neck/truss rod design and offered to exchange mine, which I took him up on. I'm much happier with this one.

As for posting a pic, you can either click on the insert image icon/button and paste the URL in the box, being sure to overwrite the default "http://" so it doesn't appear twice which will cause a problem, or type the following...

Thanks Tom... I must be doing something wrong as that is what I have done. The only thing I can think of is flikr is generating a link with https:... not http. I have the setting to share but still generating a https: link not the default example of http.
