Default Hiscox Cases Review?

Hello All!

I am waiting on my New Furch to come in and I know it comes standard with a Hiscox case. How are these cases? I've only really had experience with the TKL that came with my Martin MMV. Will the Hiscox compare in quality and protection? Thanks!

The one that came with my OM-32 fits like a glove and is pretty solid.

Their range is called 'Lite-Flite'. The clue's in the name.
Watch the video.

Hiscox are very good cases, much more robust than standard thermoplastic types, but still light weight.

You will like the case, durable and light weight. One came with my 1991 Lowden 032C.

I'm a big fan of Hiscox and wouldn't trust any other case to keep my main squeeze Gibson Acoustic. Here is my review from December 2015 when I first got it. Most of the negatives are no longer negatives (opening issue, case doesn't open far enough, etc.) because it took just a little time to get used to the case. I think you'll be very happy with the case.

Hi Shadowfox,
I have a standard Hiscox case that my J 50 lives and travels in. As others have said, the strength and lightness of these cases make them stellar choices.

It is a really sturdy yet lightweight case that gives me full confidence about the safety of the guitar in rough handling conditions.

The only complaint I can offer about the hisox case is that it is too fat waisted to accommodate the third party back-pack-straps addon that I purchased for hands free carrying.

They are light, incredibly strong, no latch-teeth waiting to bite the guitars of the unwary. All my guitars live in Hiscoxes, and the heavy, unwieldy, less protective 'Geib-style' cases the Martins arrived in are stowed in the shipping boxes in my loft.

I've got an OM sized Lite Flite case. I love it. It fits my Blueridge like a glove and feels more solid (while being much lighter) than the (very nice) 500 series TKL my Martin came in. I'm going to test it on a few airline flights over the next few month traveling with an old laminate beater. I'll report back.

I saw in your original unboxing that the tuner and capo don't fit well. how small is that holder? Haha

Default Hiscox

Simply, Hiscox are the best cases I have ever owned. I wanted them long before they were ever imported into the the US.

Default Hiscox

I am a BIG fan of Hiscox cases.
Light, strong and well balanced. 9By well balanced, I refer to them being easy to carry - not front or back heavy)
IMHO, the best case on the market.

They're the best cases you can get without spending silly money. Mine's had nearly 20 years of constant abuse, having been lugged around the world several times over. It's still in excellent condition and, more importantly, so's the guitar.

I wholeheartedly recommend them.
