Default Calculating Radius Dishes

I'm looking to build some radius dishes and I'm not much of a math guy (ut oh), I'm curious how I'd calculate out a perfect radius. Say for example I was doing a 15 foot radius and wanted to print out a radius with perfect dimensions on a computer. Anybody know how I'd go about doing this?

Draw a straight line, and mark the beginning of the curve. Then for any distance along the line(L), the distance to the curve is the square root of the Radius squared minus L squared.

offset=(R^2-L^2)^.5

Search tangent offset in surveying practices.

Thanks Rodger, that's a big help! Looking forward to adopting some of the new ways everybody else does it ...kinda ironic seeing as I'm one of the younger guitar builders out there.

Rodger, given your definitions, I came up with:

offset = R - SQRT(R^2-L^2) for L < R

Am I missing something?

edit: No, I left out the first R, I guess I should quit relying on my memory...
