Original Acoustic "Lap Tapping" Song
Hey guys, I'm new here at acousticguitarforums. I've been looking around and it looks like a really tight community that I'm excited to be a part of.
Anyway, here is an original acoustic song written in a "lap tapping" style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgZD1lWh7-A Thanks for watching, let me know what you think! |

Welcome to the AGF, Jonathon. You have the technique down very well! My only nit pick is to make sure the guitar is in tune before you record. I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for sharing it here, and I look forward to seeing and hearing more.

Thanks guys!
And Bob, after I uploaded I did notice that it sounded slightly out of tune. I'm pretty sure that it was in tune before I played, I think I am either making some of the notes sharp because i tap so hard(they're medium gauge strings and I really slam my fingers down on there), or maybe its the sound of the other side of the string closer to the headstock, since both sides vibrate when you tap like that(as opposed to just one, when you pluck or pick the string) any thoughts? |
