My solid TB&S bird's eye maple is called Birdie.
My Yamaha FG420-12 is called Twelve.
Yamaha classical is called Classical.

The rest of my electrics and basses have generally one word names...

So I’m boring and not creative. I have
Hog
Dred
Braz, and
Maple.

So far it works. But next guitar? Could be a problem name-wise.

It is so heartening to see this topic refreshed yet again.

And again ... and again ...

Alvarez MFA70 - "Blackie" (super dark R/w b&s)
Eastman E6)M - "Blondie" (light spruce top)
Ibanez AC240 - "Brownie" (Hog top)
Alvarez LJ2 - "PeeWee" (mini guitar)
G&L Ascari GTS - "Stripey" (Striped flame black & blue top)

Why do I name them? Because I can.

If only there was a "like" button.

It's admittedly a goofy topic, but I seen no harm in naming or not naming.
Some of my guitars have names, but they have to come naturally, organically. I call this one "Connie" since I got it from my friend Connie Gately.

So why on earth did you respond to it? Think about it.

Default Guitar Names

Absolutely! Almost everything special at our house has a name. Cars, tractor, cows, and yes, guitars. My H&D started it all with a light colored adi top and a beautiful red mahogany back. She is Donna, anyone that has ever watched "Suits" will understand. Get a dirty look from the wife every time I say it to someone else.

Perhaps so that this topic will be laid to rest. I think two dozen of these are enough--don't you?

You’re making my point. The OP made the subject clear; why get involved if you’re not interested.

Hall monitors.

He's interested in pointing out the absurdity of it all.

I wonder if my guitars have names for me...if they all use the same name or if I go by 3 different ones.
