We'll be there! I have convinced my wife that we should take my long service leave and travel across the US and Canada on a guitar related trip. We finish our trip at the SBAIC! We will be coming all the way from Australia to visit and are just a little bit excited.

Hopefully we'll bump into some of you there.

Martin

Hi Martin

Glad you'll be here to join in the fun! You won't quite win the award for furthest traveled (South Africa and Dubai!) but that's a really big effort and hope you really enjoy it. Don't forget to buy your passes and evening concerts ahead of time as they are not guaranteed to be available at the door.

cheers from Santa Barbara

Default 2 Free Tickets to the Sunday night Closing Concert

Hi all

Let's make this a little more fun: Murray Kuun from South Africa wins the furthest traveling luthier for the Celebration (a 25,000 thousand mile round trip!), and wins two free tickets to the Closing Concert featuring Antoine Dufour.

Let's do the same for the furthest traveled attendee. Right now that's Martin Taylor from Australia, about 8000 miles away! If you can beat that, let me know.

On Friday at noon in the Concert Room, I will be giving a slide show and talk titled "Guitar Conversions." This will mainly look at converting Martin archtops and classicals to steel-string flattops, but other conversions will be mentioned, too. Process, prices, and which guitars are good conversion candidates will be among the topics.

We drove by the venue today. Looks like it has plenty of room for a great time to be had by all.

Those of you attending SBAIC, I am sure that I speak for many who could not attend that we will greatly appreciate any and all photos of the event that you can share here in the AGF Custom Shop.

Have fun...
