I'm not an expert, just somebody who's put thousands of dollars to try to find the right set for my strat. Right NOW...TODAY...there is a set of Fralins in it with the metal bottom plate (an $11 extra from Fralin), the plate really helps. I think it's a pretty cool voyage on finding the right pickups for each body and neck combination, The RIo Grandes, have a lot of beef, Lollars are the real deal, I'm a big fan of Alnico 5's for magnets, so many choices, good luck, it's a fun search
