Rainsong Bluegrass Model
Has anyone played one of these yet? I have the Shorty and love the sound of the unidirectional top. I see that this guitar is constructed completely like top of the Shorty. Is the construction going to give me a warmer sound or is it more cosmetic? I thought it would make it sound more warm.

Have not tried it but hard for me to think it would make that much difference since 95%? ofthe sound comes from the top. I have played a unidirectional soundboard of their jumbo. I like it but even on the sound board the difference is there but pretty subtle.

BTW, last year I got to try three variations of Jumbos at LA Guitar Sales, a standard, a uni top, and an all uni with similar results, the all uni was the warmest but a bit muddy. I'm not much on writing reviews so hopefully Ted will chime in as well. |

Interesting thoughts, I finally made the total change to Rainsong and Emerald and traded away my last CA this week. At the end I thought it sounded muddy or midrangey compared to the more bell like Rainsong which I am now used to. I guess I have been totally carbonated. Used to pick CA over Rainsong every time. Very interesting observation on the 12 fret.

I've played the Bluegrass model. I can't remember if it was the gloss or or FT, but I felt it was the warmest Rainsong I've played. Really liked it.
