Default Surprise NUAD

My wife and I were taking in a friend's weekly acoustic gig at a small bar last night and talking about how the little Crate amp he was using for guitar and vocals was perfect for that room. Sometimes even my Bose L1C is too much for a really small and quite room. Well stopped into my local Mom & Pop today and they had a used RMS AC40 a little dusty but in great shape. Walked out with it for just over $100. I checked Google before I bought it and they seem to be going for a lot more than that normally. Anybody here use one? I know it's not going to sound nearly as good as the Bose but for the money I think it'll work fine for the few gigs I'll use it for.

A bajillion years ago (maybe 1992 or 93?), I borrowed a friend's Crate acoustic amp for a little gig. Maybe a CA125 or something?

Lo these decades later and I still think about how great that little amp was.

He's still got it.
