My Mum was a rudimentary fingerstyle player and had an old Nylon guitar and I obsessively listen to her Dylan and Baez records.

Initially I was always much more interested in songs and songwriters and less about how they were playing their guitars, although I liked appegiated and finger-style playing.

I later got into people like Davy Graham, Richard Thompson, Bert Jansch, Big Jim Sullivan, Nik Drake and then started to appreciate more adventurous playing.
