Default Yamaha FG 720sl question

I found a lefy one of these in a pawn shop. It looks in good shape. The strings are shot big time, i could hardly tune it and they have visable rust. anyway it is made in Tiawan. I know the new ones are made in China. A couple of questions

How do tiawan era vs the new ones stack up?

They are asking $186 with gig bag. Seems a bit high to me since a new one costs about 300 at the local shop. What is a fair price?

We can't talk price. Heck, from your post I am not sure what country you are from. Lefty guitars are hard to price. As a righty it looked like top dollar.
