tips for an aspiring luthier?
im 17 and after high school i plan to attend a luthier school in canada called summit school of guitar building/repair. i eventually want to either become a luthier or own my own repair shop and i have some questions about being a luthier.
-how would you finance the tools, equipment, inventory (guitars and amps) and supplies for a repair shop? - if i wanted to open a shop where i build, sell and reapair guitars, what are some key steps in getting started? - just any advice i might need from your past experiences - would you find it neccessary to go to business school, or just learn the mechanics of business from someone who already runs their own shop? |
