Question Case handle?

The handle on my case is broken,

A situation a lot like this one...

Anyone have a good fix for this? I looked at some replacement handles, but they are 20-30 bucks it seems...probably a 3rd the cost of this case I have...

I'm looking for less expensive alternative, that isnt completely trashy looking.

Any suggestions?

Thanks ahead of time!

Try the luggage dealers, they probably have in house or referrals to repairs.

Go to ohiotravelbag.com
They have an assortment of styles...but I'll tell ya, $20-$30 for a leather replacement is not bad.

I'm looking more for a DIY solution. Id like to see if anyone has come up with a solution before me so I dont have to reinvent the wheel.

What's the value of what you carry inside the case with the iffy handle?

Lightbulb Case fix-itz

Ohio Travel Bag is the place to go because they have more stuff there for luggage repair than you can believe; including the type of prob. handle shown. HOWEVER, if you are NOT a 'business', O.T.B. will not sell to you as a private individual. They will direct you to another business entity directly connected to them that performs this function. I hope you realize that you're going to have to deal with the blind-riveted handle brackets if you do this yourself; I'm in exactly the same situation with the same type of broken handle, so I've done the Res. already but not made any purchase to see how that goes. Good Luck finding a GOOD shoe-repair person..they're going the way of most repair-type trades.....driven into the s**t-can by the throw-away/buy a new one mind-set.

That was my thought as well. I take leather goods that I need repaired to local Amish shops. They make their horse harnesses and seem good with leather.
BUT if anyone thinks those simple living people work cheap, they are mistaken.
However, they generally do good work.
