What information is it that you would like? It is as advertised. Very well-made. For optimum volume and tone, as with everything else, you should use a guitar preamp, DI or powered mixer. Straight out of the box it has excellent tone but is not extremely loud when used exclusively with a guitar with active pick up.

If there is some specific information you need just ask. There are a few demos on YouTube.

I have a friend at Sweetwater on the Executive team and last month he heard a shootout at Sweetwater between the Turbo IP1000, Bose L1 and the new JBL Eon One which is now shipping. He told me to wait for the JBL. This is a close friend of mine at Sweetwater so I trust his ears.

Luckily I will be able to hear the new JBL at Sweetwater's GearFest June 17th & 18th in Fort Wayne IN. This is the largest music event in the country and bigger than Namn. It's free and has so many amazing workshops, anyone locally should make sure they get there. I am paying over $1000 for Air & Hotel because this is the only way to really test out gear.

Hope that helps

Which Bose model did the shootout include: The L1 Compact or the L1 Model 1S or the L1 Model II? I'm assuming it was the Bose L1 Compact, correct?

The Sweetwater GearFest does look amazing, but there's no way that it's anywhere close to as big as NAMM. Yes, the announcement says "You are invited to the US's largest music gear trade show…" but the rest of the sentence reads: "that is free and open to the general public." NAMM is many times larger, but it is not open to the general public.

Still, the Sweetwater show should be really worthwhile. Frankly, it could be better than NAMM, because it probably won't be such an overwhelming madhouse.

I have never been to Namn but GearFest is expecting over 10,000 guests. IT will be a blast and there are very specific products I want to demo and also try out different PA systems. Bose has their own tent just for their gear so I imagine this is quite a large gathering.

I really want to hear the JBL Eon One and also speak directly to Fishman and hear from them about their new PA which is going to replace the SA220 which Fishman no longer sells. If you buy that system, it's because a dealer still has it in stock. Sweetwater is not getting anymore shipments because they were told a new model that will replace the SA220 will be out shortly in summer. If I was in the market for an SA220, I would definitely wait to find out what they are releasing and also try to check out the JBL system.

Yeah, that's what I mean about the Sweetwater show being relatively mellow... NAMM attendance is 100,000.

Looking forward to any news about the new Fishman products. It's a little strange that they let the SA220 drop without having a replacement ready.

I was curious about the JBL. It's only 380watts compared to the much higher power ratings on the Turbosounds, but specs only go so far....

The 6 channel mixer would be very nice.

I had a 20% off coupon for MF. I was going to check it out at GC because they just got a shipment of EON One's in. They matched the price and I took it home for $800 shipped. I won't have time to mess with it till Sunday but it sounded really good in the store.

Is anybody using the Turnosound ip1000 or ip2000? I looked for, but couldn't find, a review here. Curious how it compares to a Bose L1M2 as I'd like something something similar but easier to haul and less setup (no separate bass modules).

Thanks

A friend of mine's son is an employee of JBL (probably Harmon, I did not press for details). For employees they are selling the EON One for $331.25. My duo partner is thinking about buying one from our mutual friend. I still prefer my single DBR10 on a pole high/behind. In a pinch it can throw a lot more sound than the Bose L1c and for a little less weight to lug around even including the stand and mixer.
