Default 2014 Stephen Kinnaird Bearclaw Sitka/Blackwood Bass

Two years ago Steve and I built this acoustic bass for a friend of ours. While he loves it, about the same time we delivered it he got married, moved, and is now building a house. He has only played this instrument a handful of times and it looks pristine (read like new!). We will include the original lifetime warranty and a custom Ameritage case.

This 34" scale length bass mounted on our SJ body delivers a thumpy bass with a delicious tone. The Bearclaw Sitka top is the craziest book matched example we have ever seen. Paired with a presentation grade Malaysian Blackwood back and sides, bound in Bee's Wing Narra, and appointed with Bocote for the peghead, fretboard, and bridge - this guitar is a visual feast as well as a low frequency beast. Setup with a B-Band 2.2 pick-up system, this guitar is ready to deliver at your next gig.

Few custom acoustic basses come around like this one. This is a $xxxx retail instrument that looks brand new. We're trying to help our friend get his new life going with a move now price of xxXx - shipping not included. Please contact me here or through our website for any inquiries. Thanks

Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top - Malaysian Blackwood Back/Side - Acoustic Bass

34" scale length - 1 3/4" nut - 2 1/4" saddle

Bee's Wing Narra binding - Abalone rosette - Bocote peghead/fretboard/bridge

Gotoh chrome tuners - B-Band 2.2 pickup - Clear pickguard

Custom Ameritage Case

And I'm sorry, somehow when doing the photography I didn't get a good overall shot. I'll include one later, but for now please check out our Bass model page on our website to see this full guitar for a sense of size. Kinnaird Bass

Thanks for looking!

I played this once, over at your friend's place, and it was not only absolutely the most beautiful acoustic bass guitar I've ever encountered, it was the best sounding as well: loud, articulate, a beautiful bassy tone - just pretty much perfect. I wasn't really shopping for a bass at the time and resisted the impulse to buy it, but I regretted it later.

Wink Why not...

take that crazy long neck off, bridge too, and make it a nice SJ?

34" and I'm going to need a longer left arm. Though it is a work of art!
