Default New Slang by The Shins

Been a while since I posted something here and I'm trying to get back into it busy times lately.

Here's another Cover of a Shins song, complete with whistled guitar solos. Thanks for listening

Nice! That's a fun song to play and sing. I used it to improve my F barre chord.

RedJoker this song did wonders for my F chord, you're totally right. Back and forth from C like that in the backing progression for the solo is great fun practice.

Thanks for listening!

Lol "Awaybro"

Thanks for the warm re-welcoming everyone. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks again for listening.

This song was in "Garden State," my wife and I saw it on our first date. It's always been special to us. That movie gave The Shins their big break. I read an interesting pandora article about how under-appreciated they were until that movie came out, and their songs were in a sound track with bands like Simon and Garfunkle and Iron and Wine. Then people got it. I guess all it takes is the right listener

So, I'm struggling with both F-chords and singing, and you just nail it with whistling thrown in too!

Nice.

Great job on this song! It's one of my favorites off of the "Garden State" soundtrack.

Thanks guys, I'm so happy you enjoyed it. I found it really tough going from the whistling at the end into the falsetto. Took some getting used to. The improvement with the F chord shape kinda clicked all at once after a while.

Very Nice! The falsetto beginning is pretty impressive, and I liked everything about the cover. Great job.
