A Brief History of Time kick started my layman's interest in cosmology and quantum physics.

RIP Mr Hawking.

I hadn't heard ! A great man, a great brain, and a sense of humour.

I doubt that many in the US have heard but Mr Hawkins actually played the "Book" in the current Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy Radio series ..The Hexagonal Phase.

I hope he finished the series.

Then something happenend which unleashed the power of our imagination
We learned to talk'

A remarkable man who beat all the odds.

Typical average life expectancy after ALS onset-5 years.
Hawking-50 years. Talk about beating the odds.

Also-born on the 300th anniversary of Galileo's death, died on Einstein's birthday. Fitting for a groundbreaking physicist.

We've lost one of our best. The rare person who gave us insights and an appreciation for our universe and life itself. RIP Stephen.

I was always interested in what S.H. had to say. We are fortunate to have had him on the planet as long as we did.

One of the greatest people who have ever lived.

The universe is a little smaller for his passing.
