Default 24 - Jack's really back!

I know some folks thought this new 1/2-day season was lacking, but in last night's episode Jack took care of the terrorists' ***** for sure!
Don't want to spoil any parts for those who haven't seen it yet.

It did take awhile for this season to crank up in its intensity but IMO last night was the best episode yet for this round.

I've watched all but the last 2 episodes on "on demand tv". It tends to be a week old when they're available to watch. I am enjoying it. After this season is done, I think I'll watch the last series (which aired a few years ago).

I still watch 24 and still enjoy it but some of it makes me cringe a little. I don't know how Kiefer Sutherland keeps a straight face some of the time (but then he is the executive producer)
It is good escapism though.

Escapism it is, indeed. Every time I think, "I won't watch this next season, it's just more of the same" I end up sucked in, cheering and laughing and enjoying every minute of it. I've enjoyed this season just because of the change of venue (I love London) but the last episode was indeed the best.

Prediction: The guy they thought was dead ain't dead, he's actually the other guy. I suspected it the moment we met him. This last episode made it clear.

I think he just seized a window of opportunity.

My wife and I watched every episode of every year of 24. Until this one.

Actually, the last two...maybe three...years were beginning to get incredibly predictable and bordering on ridiculous in many places. It was simply getting a bit too hard to suspend disbelief. So we just couldn't bring ourselves to start another year...especially after the long hiatus.

I'll revisit after the end of this series to see what you die-hard viewers say then. If it's thumbs-up, maybe we'll get the DVD set from Netflix.

For now, I admire your stick-to-it-iveness. Enjoy. And give our best to Jack.

Yup.

Total escapism, total suspension of belief, all that stuff. But still just a fun ride to take in an episode with the wife after a lousy Monday back at work. My wife and I both really enjoyed that window scene this week.

It's not like much of any series TV or big screen movies for that matter are all that realistic and believable anyway. I really want to get ahold of one of those magazines that seem to hold 100 rounds to use in my 9mm...

I just watched another episode last night (don't know if I'm still 1 week behind or not). I didn't see that coming. Great show!

I must say, that actress doesn't get out of any of her series alive apparently. She got croaked in the last two I've seen her in.

Oh no, she's been type casted. I don't think I've seen her before in any show.

She was in "Game of Thrones" till she got stabbed about a zillion times.

I finished watching the new season a couple of days ago. I enjoyed it. I wonder if there will be another season (based on the ending).

I missed the past few seasons but now I may have to start with Season 5 for the first time and take it from there.

At this point there are no plans for further seasons, but we can hope as they left it open-ended again.
